Fall Fashion Show

The Fall Fashion Show was held at the clubhouse on Friday, Oct 13.  Talbot's provided the clothes.  The event was a sell-out as usual and everyone enjoyed seeing their neighbors and friends model the new styles.

Food for Thought

We went to Food for Thought for our July luncheon - it was also a surprise celebration for Trish's retirement.  The food was really good, and Trish was surprised when Deane presented her with a gift certificate to the spa.  The waiter went around and gave each one of us a hug - what a nice guy.  Congratulations Trish and thanks to Deane for handling the arrangements.

Williamsburg Winery

The tavern at the Williamsburg Winery is under new management and that's where we went for May's luncheon.  The food was really good and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves.

Fashion Show

In Apr, we went to the fashion show and luncheon at the clubhouse.  We enjoyed watching our neighbors and friends modeling all the beautiful clothes from Chico's.

Richmond Museum of Fine Arts - Chihuly Exhibit

Several of us went up to the Richmond Museum of Fine Arts to see the beautiful Chihuly glass.  What a gorgeous display.  Afterwards, we ate lunch in the Amuse Cafe - I had the crab cakes and they were delicious.  Thanks Betty for making all the reservations and suggesting it.  We had a great time.

Blue Talon - Jan 2013

It's the start of another New Year and what better way to begin by having lunch with the ladies of TT. This month we went to the Blue Talon in downtown Williamsburg.  It's always special going downtown - even though we didn't spend much time roaming around like we have in the past, it was still nice to go.  We had 17 ladies turn out for lunch and got to meet our new neighbor Millie.  We had a nice visit with everyone and celebrated Sande's retirement.  Congratulations Sande!  Thanks Hollace for making the reservations.

Christmas 2012

Tarpleys Tavern residents participated in several activities this past holiday season:  First off, was the annual Christmas concert at the Community Church.  As usual, it was heartwarming and got everyone in the mood for Christmas.  Thanks to the church for this wonderful gift to the community.  Then we had a dinner at Anna's Italian Restaurant.  They did a great job and the food was excellent.  Afterwards, we stopped at Carolyn's home for dessert and coffee.  Next was a neighborhood tour of homes and dessert at Lorraine's.  And finally, for the second year, we did a progressive dinner on New Year's Eve.  The first stop was Betty's for appetizers and drinks, then on to Julia's for a candlelit dinner of turkey, ham and delicious side dishes provided by the ladies of TT, and lastly on to Elaine's for dessert, champagne and to toast in the New Year's.  We are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and neighbors on our street.  God Bless you all in the coming year.
