The residents of Tarpleys Tavern raised enough money for the Kiwanis Club of Toano's Adopt-A-Family program to purchase holiday gifts for nine children. We met at the clubhouse for lunch, then headed to Wal-Mart to make our purchases. With $50 for each child, we made our purchases and went to Deane's home to share what we had bought with everyone. We had a great time buying gifts for the children. All together, the neighborhoods of Colonial Heritage contributed over $4000 to buy gifts for 75 children. We hope all the families enjoy the gifts, toys, food, Christmas tree and ornaments as much as we enjoyed helping them. Thanks Deane - we look forward to next year!
