Tacky Homes Tour

We took a ride up to Richmond last Friday to go on the tacky home tour. Just as we got on the interstate, it started to snow. We kept going and it kept snowing. Our first stop was James Center downtown. It was a beautiful display of reindeer and beautiful trees - made even more beautiful by the snow--a winter wonderland. We headed down Cary Street and were able to see a few more displays before our driver, Cap, said the roads were getting too bad for us to continue. It took us about 2-1/2 hours to get home - the traffic was really bad and cars were all over the road, in ditches, turned around in the opposite direction - it was kinda scary, but Cap was extra careful and got us home safely. We felt bad that he had to turn around and head back up to Richmond again. Carol took home the trophy for tackiest costume for the ladies and Hank won it for the men. Hollace and Tom did a great job in planning everything - thanks to both of them. Maybe we can do it again next year!
